Izebel met Troy LeCadet at a hardware store. Just because he helped her pick hardware appliances Izzy supposed she loved him. Izzy decided to decline her college application and marry Troy instead. After 2 weeks they were married.
A year later, she had a child. Then, every two years she would get pregnant again. This resulted in her having nine boys by 35. In Little Boys, Izzy admits she hates and life and plans to leave.
But her plans are ruined when Troy romances her and they have another kid (plus a dog). Due to her new-pregnancy, Izzy has to either stay with the kids or take them with her. Though unhappy, she stays.
